Extendable/Expandable Tables

Pedestal Table
If you don’t have a lot of space to work with but you need enough seating for at least a few people, a pedestal dining table is a great solution. The name is not a hint the the shape of the table but rather the footing. A pedestal table is supported by a single column in the middle of the table that supports the surface.
They usually are available in round or square designs that often feature a smaller and more compact design. Because you don’t have to worry about four legs on each side, it is easier to accommodate more people with a smaller table.
How Many People Can My Dining Table Seat?
Although factors such as the size of your space and your seats may affect your table’s eating capacity, there is a general guideline to figure out how many people you can seat.
A round table between 36 and 48 inches can easily accommodate about four people, while a round table that’s about 60 inches can fit around 6 people. As for rectangular tables, those that are about 60 inches in length can accommodate four to six people, while rectangular tables between 72 and 84 inches in length can better accommodate six to eight people. If you have a particularly large group and want to accommodate 10 people or more, a table of 96 inches or longer will work well.
What Are The Standard Dining Table Heights?
